Interests: Shuangmei/Christine received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota –Twin Cities in 2008. Prior to coming to MSU, she completed her pre-doctoral internship at UCLA and her postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley. Shuangmei/Christine is a generalist and adopts an integrative approach when working with students. She enjoys working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds with particular emphasis on reaching out to international students and other underserved campus communities. Her clinical interests include cross-cultural adjustment, immigrants/acculturation issues, self-esteem struggles, career/academic issues, depression, anxiety, relationship/family issues, sexual orientation and gender identity development, student athletes, grief/loss, trauma, eating issues, mindfulness and holistic well-being. Shuangmei/Christine loves traveling, hiking, cooking, laughing out loud and taking naps.
