Education: M.A., Counseling and Personnel Service, Western Michigan University (1978). Additional Specialty training in grief and Loss, Multicultural counseling, and Treating Sexual abuse survivors.
Interests: Areas of clinical interest include depression, grief and loss, sexual assault, male-female relationships, women’s issues, family of origin issues, cross-cultural awareness, and white privilege. Current research areas of interest include; white privilege, military related PTSD, and grief and loss.
A European American and an ally of the Multi-Ethnic Counseling Center Alliance ( MECCA.)
Therapy orientation: Feminist (Relational Cultural), psychodynamic, interpersonal and cognitive behavioral.
